Good location, close to many of the '5 stars'. Lots of cops when anything political is going on (US embassy nearby). Hard Rock cafe just around the corner. Staff efficient, but a little cool. Lifts antiquated, tiny, slow and perhaps a little dodgy.

1st right then right again to the corner shop; were you can by your bottled water etc at reasonable prices.

Previous occupant had closed the safe box so was unable to make use of it. No problems other than that.
Top Tip
Metro for quick cheap trips to Coliseum and Vatican. Take a guided tour of the Vatican. Atmospheric and good restaurant just round the corner from the hotel.

Breakfast was sufficient although the bacon, eggs and sausage were cold every morning. Didnt discover microwave until last morning make sure you use it. Hotel bar a rip off go down the street 1/3 of the price

Basic Room for such a supposedly high quality hotel.
No hot water for bath or shower.
Not a good bed.
No room service no coffe facilities out of staff hours.
Poor staff service
They forgot to book airport transportation etc.etc.

We were disappointed that the roof top bar/terrace was closed for refurbishment.
Our room was fine but the bathroom was in need of updating.Only very basic toiletries were provided - I expect more from a 4* hotel.Continental breakfast was good - plenty of choice. Poor cooked breakfast though - there was only boiled eggs, very greasy bacon, scrambled egg & hot dogs.
Top Tip
Catch the Terravision Bus from Ciampino Airport for 8 Euros or 14 return to Termini Railway Station. You can walk to the hotel from there or catch a taxi for 7 euros.
Catch the blue "Ciao Roma" open top tour bus from right outside the hotel. 19 euros for all day & you can hop on & off all over the city.

the hotel was excellant. unfortunately restaurants around the area were very expensive

avoid restuarants on the main via venato. we went to a restaurant cafe de paris on via venta and was totally ripped off. the retaurants off the sided streets are less expensive
